Travel can be overwhelming, especially when cognitive load becomes a barrier to spontaneity. WanderBloom was born from the desire to create a travel assistant that doesn't just list attractions, but understands the individual.
By integrating sophisticated AI personalization with real-time environmental data, the app acts as a digital concierge. It checks the local weather and cross-references it with your personal style to suggest the perfect outfit, ensuring you're comfortable and confident wherever your journey takes you. It’s about removing the friction of planning, allowing the joy of discovery to take center stage.
PHASE 01: CONCEPT & ARCHITECTURE
With WanderBloom, I wanted to make travel planning feel lighter, prettier, and less stressful. My goal was to build an app that still handled the practical side of travel, like weather, packing, places, and trip timelines, but in a way that felt calm, supportive, and more human. I designed it with an ADHD-friendly mindset and planned the architecture so it could grow into a richer premium experience over time.
PHASE 02: WEATHER API INTEGRATION
Pick a destination, say the Philippines: and the app shows you real-time weather, air quality, and pollen levels so you know exactly what to pack. It handles unit conversations automatically too (Celsius for international, Farenheit for the US). No more arriving somewhere and realizing you packed all wrong. It's the practical friend who actually thinks ahead for you.
PHASE 03: PLAN AHEAD
Planning ahead should be effortless. Whether you've just landed and want to find a low-energy spot to chill or you're looking for the perfect dinner location near your hotel, WanderBloom helps you curate your itinerary based on your current vibe.
PHASE 04: ESSENTIALS
The 'Before Your Trip' feature takes the guesswork out of packing. By checking seasonal weather trends, the app suggests exactly what to bring, so you won't find yourself carrying a heavy sweater in the middle of summer. Plus, the integrated checklist lets you track your essentials as you pack.
PHASE 05: JOURNALING & CALENDAR
Journaling is a key part of the travel experience. Every entry you make is represented by a cherry blossom on your calendar, creating a beautiful visual history of your journey. I'm continuing to refine this feature to make it even more intuitive.
PHASE 06: AI PERSONALIZATION ENGINE
While the UI is still in development, I'm planning an AI assistant to help navigate complex local transit. In places like the Philippines, where choosing between a cab, jeepney, or tricycle can be tricky, this assistant will act as your local guide to find the best way around.
