Overview
GlucoMood is a friendly diabetes companion for manual logging, movement motivation, and supportive Mimi AI conversations. This Privacy Policy explains what information GlucoMood uses and how it is handled.
Manual health logs
Logged medication, insulin, and blood glucose entries currently stay on your device. GlucoMood itself does not upload those manual entries to a GlucoMood server.
Apple Health
Apple Health access is optional. GlucoMood only reads supported Apple Health activity data after you grant permission in iOS.
Supported Apple Health data currently includes:
- Steps
- Walking + Running Distance
- Workouts / Exercise Activity
- Workout / Exercise Duration
GlucoMood uses this activity data for movement progress, Health-related progress displays, and optional Mimi Movement Message rewards. GlucoMood does not write fake activity data to Apple Health.
You can change Apple Health permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Mimi AI
Messages sent to Mimi AI are sent to a backend service so Mimi can generate a reply. Mimi is designed to provide supportive, conversational guidance and general diabetes education, not medical diagnosis or emergency care.
Do not use Mimi as a replacement for professional medical care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call emergency services immediately.
Notifications
GlucoMood may use local notifications for supported reminders, such as step-goal notifications. You can manage notification permissions in iOS Settings.
Third-party services and trademarks
GlucoMood may use Apple Health data only with your permission. Mimi AI replies are generated through a backend service connected to an AI provider.
Dexcom and Dexcom G6/G7 are trademarks of Dexcom, Inc. Apple Health is a trademark of Apple Inc. GlucoMood is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Dexcom, Inc. or Apple Inc.
